Must include one of the following types of support (in addition to a visual): testimony, facts, statistics, examples, or definitions. (refer to speech book pages 115-118)

III. Conclusion (restate topic sentence and summarize supporting points)

Read the story “To Repel Boarders” pages 332-336. Answer questions on page 336.

Select a topic from the following list, choose a side, and create an outline for a debate speech. You must include a visual aid (without the use of a computer) and use several of the following types of support: testimony, facts, statistics, examples, or definitions. (refer to speech book pages 115-118)

  5. Is happiness determined by success? 

The topic sentence and outline is due on Wednesday. You will present the speech on Friday.
